Ashley Mitchell is a seasoned attorney specializing in complex cases involving serious injury and death.

Prior to starting Mitchell Law, Ashley spent fifteen years at renowned trial firms litigating cases involving the nation’s largest companies and insurers. Following her graduation from the University of Georgia School of Law, she worked on the defense side for several years and learned the defense bar’s playbooks. Ashley now puts that experience to work for clients who have been wronged or harmed in cases involving commercial motor vehicle accidents, daycare abuse and negligence, products liability, crime victims, and premises liability accidents of all kinds.

Ashley is actively involved in the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association (GTLA) and the State Bar of Georgia. She was selected for the prestigious 2020-2021 GTLA LEAD Program, where she further developed her leadership abilities and learned how to advocate outside of the courtroom for policies that protect individuals’ rights. These affiliations reflect her deep commitment to justice, advocacy, and community involvement in the legal profession.

In addition to her practice, Ashley was an attorney coach for the South Atlanta High School mock team for a decade. The team excelled and broke multiple barriers, including advancing to the regional competition multiple years. Ashley received an Outstanding Attorney Coach for her work with South Atlanta High School. One of Ashley’s great joys has been watching her former students graduate and go on to have careers in the legal field.

Ashley loves being a trial lawyer, and lives in Sandy Springs with her husband Jeff and their young children.

Her own experience as a working mother with children in daycare gives her a unique perspective on daycare and abuse cases in Georgia. Ashley serves on the Georgia Kids Belong Advisory Board, a nonprofit that equips communities to improve the experiences and outcomes of kids in Georgia foster care. Ashley also serves on the Wieuca Day School Parent Advisory Board. In her spare time, Ashley enjoys Pilates, traveling, scary movies, and cheering on her son in his many sports endeavors.
